Hey there! My name is Gillian. I’m a figure skater living in southern New Hampshire. I’m passionate about contemporary movements, writing, goal setting, and good food.
This is what I’m working on right now:
// Performing in professional ice shows, most recently: “New York on Ice” with Rosstyn Ice Shows and Rink Designs at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair, and “Winter Wonderland on Ice” with Fight or Flight Productions in Sea World, Orlando.
// Developing as a coach for beginner skaters. I’m a Learn to Skate USA certified instructor, and am working to grow my student base.
// Working in small business, including: as a skate technician for Home Ice Boston, and as a barista at Kaffe Vonsolln in Portsmouth, NH.
// Pursuing creative outlets on the ice, such as experimenting with choreography, and performing with contemporary companies such as American Ice Theater. In late May, I’ll be competing at the US Open in Palm Springs, CA, with American Ice Theater in our piece “Juxtapose”.
// Developing and changing my jump technique, and training my Novice Freestyle test.
// Consistently publishing short essays on my blog.
